These Merchant Quests are only found from Bottle Quests and the Senior Trader only supplies Player Crews with a single Crate of the requested type.įull Resource Crates can be bought from Merchant Alliance Senior Trader NPCs at Outposts. The Storage Crate is unique in that it cannot be sold and can store every type of Resource item.Įmpty Resource Crates can be acquired from Merchant Alliance Senior Trader NPCs at Outposts when Crews have an active Merchant Contract with a Resource Crate delivery order. This Crate can be sold while empty and refilled at Ammo Chests without any costs. The Ammo Crate cannot be opened up like regular Crates and is filled with up to 50 ammunition for Weapons instead. ![]() The Firebomb Crate is different for it has a maximum of 20 Storage slots for Firebombs and it has no specific Quests related to it. There are three special Resource Crates that act differently to the classic crates or are acquired from a different source. This Crate can also be sold to the Merchants regardless of the items inside. The Cannonball Crate of the Damned is a special Cannonball Crate that holds Ghostly Cannonballs and can be received as a prize for completing a Ghost Fleet World Event. These Crates act identically to Storage Crates with the only difference being that they can actually be sold to the Merchant Alliance at the risk of losing any items inside. The Storage Crate of the Damned is occasionally dropped by Grunt Ghost Ships and only contain Wooden Planks and Cannonballs. Two types of Ghostly Resource Crates can be found from defeated Ghost Ships. Resource Crates only accept one specific type of Resource Item and can hold up to a maximum of 50 Items. Players can open and close basic Resource Crates and add Resource Items into them from their Inventories. There are three basic Resource Crates and three special Resource Crates. Every Crate can be caught with a Ship's Harpoon. Untouched Crates will disappear when an Island respawns. Crates dropped on land or on shorelines will stay in-game for a long time. Crates will float to the top when dropped in Water, however they will start sinking to the bottom after some time has passed and disappear. When dropped, Crates emit a white glint from far away, making them easier to spot. A Player can only carry one Crate at a time and cannot use any other items while carrying them.
